How we protect your data during our property inspection services.

Last Updated: Feb 28, 2026

At Tiklo, we are committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of our clients. As a provider of comprehensive property inspection services—ranging from visual structural checks to advanced technical audits—we handle sensitive information regarding your home and property. This Privacy Policy details how we collect, use, and protect your data.

1. Information We Collect

When you use Tiklo to book property inspection services—including Pre-Possession Inspections, Resale Property Inspections, Handover Quality Audits, and Rental Property Condition Reports—we collect specific information to deliver accurate and comprehensive reports.

  • Personal Information: Name, phone number, email address, and billing information.
  • Property Details: Property address, unit number, builder details, floor plans, and access instructions.
  • Inspection Data: During the inspection, our certified engineers collect detailed technical data regarding structural conditions, plumbing, electrical systems, measurement validations (carpet area), and visible defects.

2. Photographic & Visual Documentation

A core part of our inspection packages (Silver, Gold, and Platinum) involves extensive visual documentation. Our engineers will capture images and videos of your property, which may include:

  • Photographs of structural cracks, tile alignment, and paint defects.
  • Visual records of concealed leaks, electrical panel load distribution, and plumbing tests.
  • General room documentation (ranging from 20 to 80+ photos depending on your selected package) required for severity grading and snag list identification.

Note: All photographic documentation is strictly used for generating your final property condition report and is not used for marketing purposes without your explicit consent.

3. How We Use Your Information

The data collected before and during the on-site inspection process is used exclusively to:

  • Generate your detailed Inspection Report, including snag lists and severity grading (Minor, Major, Critical).
  • Perform comparative analysis for measurement verification (e.g., verifying stated carpet area against actual measurements).
  • Facilitate communication regarding re-inspection visits or additional add-on services.
  • Improve our inspection checklist categories and diagnostic algorithms internally.

4. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We respect the privacy of your home and personal data. Tiklo does not sell, rent, or trade your personal or property information to third-party marketing agencies, real estate brokers, or builders.

We only share your information with:

  • Certified Engineers: Assigned to conduct the physical inspection of your property.
  • Cloud Service Providers: Used to securely host and store your high-resolution inspection photos and PDF reports.
  • Legal Authorities: If required by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.

5. Data Security

We implement robust security measures to protect your data. All inspection reports, severity classifications, and photographic evidence are stored on encrypted servers. Access to your property's detailed risk classification and reports is restricted to you and the internal Tiklo quality audit team.

6. Data Retention

We retain your property inspection reports and associated photographs for a standard period of 5 years to assist you with any future re-inspections or resale property evaluations. You may request the deletion of your reports at any time by contacting our support team.

Questions about your privacy?

If you have any questions or concerns regarding our privacy practices, or if you wish to request the deletion of your property inspection data, please contact our Data Protection Officer.
